Sto Klimaservice makes it possible to plan measures for retrofitting insulation in buildings – even if no as-built plans are available. A mobile 3D laser scanner captures the building digitally in no time at all, displaying openings such as windows, doors, niches, recesses, and balconies with maximum accuracy. The amount of material needed can then be determined with precision and costs calculated on the basis of the facade model. The digital data helps energy consultants determine which energy-related measures are needed to achieve the savings being aimed for, and allows them to factor in public funding programmes. Additionally, the digital project drawings make it possible to benefit from an individual consultation if required, providing visualisations of even unusual design ideas before they are made a reality. This opens the door to precise planning and reliable calculations for both energy-related and aesthetic upgrades.
