STEICOprotect 037 - the ecological alternative made of wood fibre

With a λD value of 0.037, the plasterable wood fibre insulation board STEICOprotect 037 offers the best insulation performance of all natural insulation materials for ETICS. It is approved for wooden surfaces as well as for masonry and concrete. Board thicknesses of up to 240 mm for wood and 300 mm for masonry and concrete allow top U-values with just 1 board layer. There is a large selection of approved render systems for STEICOprotect 037 from virtually all major manufacturers. STEICOsecure Render F finishing render and STEICOsecure Color F façade paint allow high-quality rendered façades without biocides.

In addition, STEICOprotect 037 offers the major advantages of wood fibre insulation materials: it is open to diffusion. With its high heat storage capacity, it keeps the render surfaces warm for longer and thus protects against algae and fungal growth. With its "full sound", it protects the ETICS from woodpecker damage, as woodpeckers prefer the "hollow sound" of rotten wood for their burrows. And STEICOprotect 037 also protects the climate by storing 160 kg CO2/m3. 

When fastening to wooden substrates, the recently developed ejotherm HFS screw fastener makes work significantly easier: with a disc diameter of just 30 mm, it is very easy to handle. Because the metal screw and plastic disc are "fused" together, the screw no longer needs to be threaded. Standard Torx bits are sufficient for screwing in. And the opening no longer needs to be sealed with a hard foam plug to prevent chemical reactions between metal and plaster.
