The Mesko brush factory was founded by the Messerer family in 1913, as the sandy soils of Franconia made a satisfactory income in agriculture impossible. From the very beginning, Mesko-Pinsel GmbH was one of the leading brush manufacturers. Four decades ago, the production of all kinds of hairy tools (there are over 10,000 different brushes) was almost exclusively manual labour. Of course, technology has long since arrived and flat brushes for professional craftsmen are now largely produced using state-of-the-art production facilities. However, our brush makers are also masters of manual production.
Since July 2018, Mesko-Pinsel GmbH has expanded into the production of high-quality artist brushes and acquired the artist brush brands Lineo and Kolibri. These are also manufactured in Wieseth at the newly built site. Regional, sustainable and best quality "Made in Germany".
